Adding Old World Charm to your Wedding Day
As a girl who grew up obsessing over movies like Pride and Prejudice and has since grown up to love antiques, Bridgerton and fantasy novels there is something so beautiful to me about adding old world charm to your wedding day. Sometime’s this looks like a vintage inspired gown, a venue that could be an old manor house or chateau, or even your grandmothers veil. These little details can be purely aesthetic choices but can often be very meaningful.
With nostalgic and vintage touches being on the rise for 2025 and 2026 wedding trends I think this is the perfect time to embrace the timeless and classic aesthetic of the old world. So go on and hunt for the perfect silver candle sticks to adorn your tables with, or maybe the perfect reworked vintage afterparty dress. You’d think this would come at a high cost to your budget but that isn’t always the case– as I have found perfect example of all these things in my many excursions to the local thrift, consignment, and antique stores in my area at a affordable price.
When done right adding vintage and old world charm mixed with modern elements to your wedding day can bring a both timeless and elegant atmosphere to both the day and photos.
The following photos were taken on both digital and film. Enjoy.
